Contentful review
Contentful content platform model, delivery APIs, hosting, roles, and official pricing references.
Contentful is a hosted headless CMS: editors work in Contentful’s web app; your site or app fetches structured content via Content Delivery and Preview APIs.
Content model
Spaces, content types, entries, and locales are documented in Contentful’s content modeling guides. Plan migrations around stable entry IDs and environment promotion (master vs preview).
Delivery and preview
Production traffic should use the CDN-backed delivery API; preview tokens belong only in secure preview or staging runtimes. Read rate limits and caching guidance in developer docs.
Hosting
Contentful hosts the editorial stack. You still operate your front end (Next.js, Astro, mobile, etc.) wherever you deploy.
Roles and enterprise features
SSO, roles, and audit features vary by plan tier on Contentful’s pricing page—we do not quote tiers here.
When Contentful fits
Organizations that want a mature SaaS editorial UI, strong APIs, and managed uptime without running CMS infrastructure themselves.
